Our Appreciation of Dr. Mike at Maple Veterinary Hospital

Late in the spring of 2011, our dog, Lily, a sweet, lovable six year old Mova Scotia Duck-tolling Rretriever mix developed rapid oset lymph node symptoms.  Very concered, we took her to Dr. Mike at Maple Veterinary Hospital.  After several consultations and extensive inestigation of veteirnay medical texts, Dr. Mike diagnosed Lily with a Juvenile Cellulitis, more comonly known as "puppy stangles," a very rare and frequently lethal disorder that suppresses the puppy's ability to breathe.  It is almost unheard of in adult dogs.Our exhaustive internet search revealed no dog with this conidition was as old as Lily, and because of the rarity of the disease, fewer than 2%of all veterinarians n the United States can correctly diagnose and treat Juvenile Cellulitis. Fortunately for us, Dr. MIke is one of thos veterinarians!  He prescribed a multi-month regimen of antibiotics and steroids, and Lily has made a complete recovery.

In August of 2011, my wife and I noticed a new small lump on Lily's chest.  Again, we took her to Dr. Mike.  He aspirated the area but the cellular analysis proved inconclusive.  He deceide to remove the lump and surround tissue.  The biopsy revealed Stage I cancer, but the laboratory results indicated that the cancer was not invasive to surrounding tissue.  Thanks to Dr. Mike's quick diagnosis and decisive action, Lily is completely cured and no medical or surgical follow-up is needed.

Needless to say, we are very grateful to Dr. Mike and his colleagues at Maple Veterinary Hospital!  They are dedicated, knowledgeable, and competent.  We have every confidence in their abilities, and without reservation would recommend them to anyone with a pet.  My wife and I have lived all over the world and have enjoyed the loving companionship of numerous dogs and cats.  Believe me, Dr. Mike is the very best veterinarian we have every found.
